To celebrate International Women's Day 2018 we have collaborated with content curation platform Wakelet and created a collection to promote this year’s theme of #PressforProgress. More importantly, we wanted to create something that would empower, support and inspire women for more than just one day.
Manchester is a key place in the history of feminism; the suffragette movement was founded by Emmeline Pankhurst in 1903 at her family home just off Oxford Road. The city is celebrating feminism throughout March with their Wonder Women 2018 festival taking over galleries & museums.
As a Manchester digital agency with strong females at the helm, we wanted to celebrate the influential women, events and movements of 2018 and recognise the global progress towards gender parity. The collection also covers topics including stereotypes in advertising, inspiring female speeches, amazing businesswomen you should be following on Twitter and a collection of Spotify playlists to make you feel seriously fierce.
Wakelet is a start-up which has developed a free visual content platform to help people organise their favourite online information so it’s easier to find & share. Anyone can use Wakelet, to assemble collections of links videos and images on any topic you like, from Google searches to tweets, videos and news articles.
